King Street Arts also provide a range of rock school courses:
SONG WRITING
Students should have some proficiency on a musical instrument;
This exciting course is designed to introduce beginners (no previous musical experience is required) to the basic functions of Latin drums and percussion instruments and to a variety of traditional rhythms and styles like son, merengue and rumba.
This is a brilliant opportunity to gain confidence in your communication skills through developing your skills in voice, movement and improvisation.
Our Speak Out course is designed to anyone who wish to learn to communicate confidently and clearly. The skills gained will benefit you in any work situation; when teaching, giving presentations, speaking in public or just in everyday life. This course will harness the natural power of your speaking voice through developing your skills in breath control, resonance, articulation and projection. By using exercises, some role play and specially chosen texts you will learn to express yourself and discover the voice you never knew you had! Rosie Pelan has been an actor, drama facilitator and voice coach for over twenty years. She has trained at the Royal Scottish Academy and Drama and has performed many leading roles in Britain and abroad.
